FANTASY FACTS:
Titans RB Chris Johnson had a dream Fantasy Sunday posting 55.4 Fantasy points (FP). Only Clinton Portis (57.4 in ’03) Shawn Alexander (56.3 in ’02) and LaDainian Tomlinson (56.1 in ’02) have produced a higher single game FP total dating back to the 2001 season.
In Week 2, 49ers RB Frank Gore had TD runs of 79 and 80 yards to become just the second player in NFL history to have two TD runs of 79 or more yards in a single game. Barry Sanders first accomplished the feat with TD runs of 80 and 82 against Tampa Bay in 1997.
Packers WR Greg Jennings did not have a reception in Week 2 for the first time in 47 career games played. Expect a huge rebound against the Rams this weekend.
After a quiet Week 1 (7.5 FP) Texans WR Andrea Johnson exploded for 10 receptions, 149 yards and two TD in Week 2. Those 36.9 FP are second only to his career high 41 FP scored in Week 5 2004 against the Vikings.
Giants WR Mario Manningham (2nd year) leads all WR in FP scoring with 45.8 FP. Manningham went un-drafted in most Fantasy leagues. Don’t expect that to continue as the season moves forward.
Through two games, Saints QB Drew Brees has nine TD passes. That matches the total combined TD scored by the Steelers (3), Patriots (3), Redskins (2) and Rams (1) through two weeks.
The Patriots were kept out of the end zone in Week 2 for the first time since Week 14 2006 when they were shut out by the Dolphins 21-0.
RB Matt Forte, Clinton Portis, Brandon Jacobs and Steve Slaton were all selected high in all Fantasy Drafts this year. None of them have a TD through two games. That will change for all of them this weekend.
The Saints lead all teams in Fantasy scoring with 325.25 FP. The Rams are last with 116.80 FP.
The NFC Leads the AFC by a slim 3285.25 to 3100.9 margin in FP scored.
Through two weeks WR FP totals sit at 1925.7. That is more than the TE, PK and D/ST positions combined (1734.5).
The nine teams at 2-0 have scored 2021.25 FP. The nine teams that are 0-2 have scored 1523.80 FP
The Top 10 best, in each category on offense through two weeks, have scored as follows: RB 480.8, QB 450.7, WR 397.2 and TE 334.6.
FANTASY FACTOR:
Week 2 was a rough week for the Fantasy Factor in an upset filled weekend as we went 9-7. Through two weeks we sit at 22-10. Let’s get back on a roll in Week 3!
A mismatch of Fantasy Beasts versus Fantasy Busts goes a long way to deciding the outcome of NFL games. If you wager on the outcome of games, you need to consider the Fantasy Factor.
B: Bad: This is not a good game to select a winner from based on the Fantasy Factor. You may want to stay away from this game.
M: Middle: This is a decent game to select a winner from based on Fantasy Factor. Consider all the facts before picking a winner here.
E: Excellent: This is an excellent game to select a winner from based on our Fantasy Factor. Load up and enjoy!!!
